You don’t need luck. You just need Watson.

Lucky bobbleheads. Trusty (crusty) socks. Go-to team names. Fantasy Football fans sure have some weird superstitions. But with IBM Watson in the ESPN Fantasy app, they can get the help they need all season long—without depending on those not-so-lucky charms. With the help of legendary NFL wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, my partner Andy Green and I developed and shot the concept, scripts, and digital extensions for this campaign that stretched across TV, social media, and radio. Final deliverables included a set of three main :30s and :15s TVCs, short social videos starring Larry “retiring” real fan superstitions, and special digital experiences that made “formerly lucky” superstitions the stars of the show. All made while working from home in our pajamas.

Just like demolition itself, the brand reshapes the old to make way for something new. Our visual system pulls complementary high-vis colors from the world of demolition and uses an illustration style inspired by the Golden Age of animation to create a surreal world that brings joy to demolition projects of any size. Similarly, our voice puts a modern twist on old-school campiness and cadence to make every line a happy one. All to create a brand that celebrates the people—and attitude—that make Workhorse so delightful. Whatever your project, whatever the size, whatever it takes—Workhorse is “Happy to demolish that.” The delightful moments of destruction, dirt, and debris that make every project a blast… literally.

So you can bank, spend, and save clearly—all in one place. Finch’s identity and experience were inspired by the bird the product is named after, everything from using a finch’s beak to visualize fundamental interactions and emphasize important information—to using the twigs of a bird’s nest as a metaphor for quantity, progress, and a building block for messages and icons.
